Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
My stay at the hotel was incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. The grand and opulent rooms kept me going through some very hard work and long days, offering a spacious airconditioned retreat with a huge king bed and a lovely bathroom. The service was truly top-notch, with staff that were really tuned to customer service and made my one-week stay in June delightful. The location, while good in many ways with its historic downtown appeal and proximity to key attractions, could get a little noisy at night being right in the main section of the historic center. The dining experience, although offering a great selection, didn't quite match the standard of the hotel. Overall, a comfortable and luxurious experience with a few minor drawbacks.
I had an amazing stay at The Gran Hotel Ciudad. The rooms were beautiful, with nice furniture and a very comfortable bed. It was lovely to see the morning hustle of the locals going to work from the balcony overlooking the bustling streets of Plaza de la Constitucion. The service, especially from Marianna and Jose Luis at check-in, was outstanding as they always went above and beyond. Despite some noise at night due to the central location in the historic center, the easy access to all main attractions by foot was a major plus. The dining experience on the terrace with a fantastic view of the Zocalo was delightful. Overall, great value for money compared to other hotels I've stayed at.
I had an amazing view of Zocalo from my room, and the prices at the restaurant and roof bar were very reasonable for the quality of a 5-star hotel. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, but the view alone made my stay worthwhile.
Staying at this hotel was a great experience for me. The rooms, though a little dated, offer a beautiful view of the Zocala square through the ornate wrought iron panoramic lifts. The high ceiling and big windows facing south added to the charm of the room. The service was exceptional, with a friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. The location is superb, directly across from the Presidential Palace, making it convenient for sightseeing and shopping. The dining experience, with its stunning terrace view, was definitely worth it, even though the room was a bit cold. The facilities were top-notch, offering everything one could need during their stay.
The hotel had a king-sized 4-poster bed and a huge bathroom, but most importantly, a great view of the main square. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and excellent overall. The service was wonderful and extra friendly, with staff going above and beyond to assist in booking tours, restaurants, and opera tickets. The location is perfect for exploring the central area and beyond, with interesting sights in every block. The dining experience was good, though not exceptional, and the facilities were average. The hotel was priced reasonably, reflecting good value for money.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with a beautiful view of El Zocalo, though the bed is a bit small. The location is unbeatable for exploring the historic center. The facilities are convenient for a pleasant stay.
The hotel is situated in an amazing location right on Zocalo square in the Centro Historico, making it even more special. The rooms are in good condition, and we were lucky to enjoy a nightly light show view from our comfortable, well-equipped, and beautifully furnished room. The service was friendly and professional, with the concierge going above and beyond to satisfy my espresso cravings. Cynthia at the front desk and the bellmen were extremely helpful. The dining options offered a great selection and good quality with a marvelous view of the Zocalo from the terrasse. The facilities were well-maintained, and the hotel's value for money is excellent.
I had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. The rooms were adequate and comfortable, overlooking the Plaza where a nightly light show added to the charm. The service was incredible, with friendly staff going above and beyond to assist. The location was perfect, offering easy access to explore the vibrant Zocalo district. The dining experience was sumptuous and convenient. Overall, a great choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience.
I had an amazing time at this hotel! The rooms were beautiful, very clean, and roomy enough for two guests. The excellent bed provided a fantastic night's sleep. The service was top-notch, with gracious and professional staff like Gabriella at the Front Desk and Jose Luis, the Concierge. The location was perfect, making it easy to access all the attractions we wanted to see. The dining experience was varied and enjoyable. Overall, a great value for money stay!
I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this historic hotel. While our room was a bit on the small side compared to other hotels, it was incredibly spacious and well-equipped, making the lack of a view over the square a non-issue for us. The service from the desk to the bellmen was top-notch, and the kind and attentive staff made our stay truly enjoyable. The location in the central historic district was perfect for late-night walks and easy access to local attractions. The dining experience was simply amazing, with delicious options available in the cafe downstairs. Overall, a fantastic stay with great value for money.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The rooms are spacious and beautiful, and the view overlooking the Zocalo is breathtaking. The breakfast buffet downstairs is a convenient option. The service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly attentive and helpful. The location couldn't be better, right at the heart of the city with easy access to shops and restaurants. The dining experience was decent but slightly expensive. Overall, a great value for money.
